Knitting grids
Markets
We knit networks in markets with brilliant opportunities to innovate.
Thanks to different partnerships, collaboration agreements, and our own presence, we are regularly expanding our geographical outreach, currently based in Mexico, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Spain, and Geneva. We thus become more agile at building multidisciplinary, global solutions, and bringing them to different markets, especially those emerging economies where we have a strong track record.

Technology
Our team
From science to technology. From disruptive design to operations and management. We look for inquiring attitudes, fast-changing careers, inspiring opportunities to engineer futures. Our capabilities are broad given the varied backgrounds of the team, – finance, industry, science, engineering, consulting – but focused on the application of data science and artificial intelligence to disrupt traditional business operating paradigms.
Disruptive design and modelling
Creativity drives design
Inspiring change with ideas. We decompose the answer to a problem into the fundamentals of the underlying science in order to build a solid model to be implemented efficiently. We encapsulate the solution to the problem within the specific business context, providing assurance on how to realize the potential benefits and impact. We therefore combine engineering and science with business into the same approach – and bring the capabilities for itTechnology, AI, and data science
Design drives application
Boosting human-machine collaboration. We bring design to life by creating virtual environments representing different realities. We use real-time data processing, artificial intelligence, advanced analytics simulation, and visualization to build intelligent solutionsOperations and management
Application drives excellence
Building next-generation teams to accelerate success. We develop capabilities, engagement, and culture to make the best use of artificial intelligence within outsourced environments, leveraging on our expertise in corporate management, organizational change, and on-the-ground operations“Engineering futures with Data Science, or what makes data science the job of the future”: my personal view
By Daniel Torán Mercadé, Data scientist at SophoFactory.
BSc & MSc in Industrial Engineering at UPC, Barcelona, Master in management, major in Economics & Finance at HEC Paris
My Data Science journey
I have always been attracted to data and the implementation of quantitative models, and therefore, during my university years, I immersed myself in grasping the math behind them as well as learning applied programming languages.
Nonetheless, after developing analytics solutions in several real projects, both in academia and corporate environments, with topics ranging from self-driving cars, automated customer insights and NLP applications, I found out that technical skills are not the core driver for successfully deploying data science capabilities in an organization. Albeit some tech knowledge is necessary, in my experience, what determines the success of a project is the ability to effectively communicate (data storytelling) the benefits of the data framework to business stakeholders.
What I think about the job of the future
In the future, the improvement of computational power, low-code tools and data collection systems will make Data Science (understood as the ability to obtain insights and predictions from structured and unstructured data) the new normal in the corporate world. Companies will integrate into their operating models high value-added automations performed by AI algorithms with the capacity to complement and enhance human capabilities and performance.
I therefore firmly believe that the job of the future will belong to those individuals that focus on blending a deep understanding of the intricacies of the business problem at hand with the actual and tangible solution possibilities that the different AI frameworks and models might provide. Whilst some knowledge of coding will remain compulsory for the bulk of data scientists (an advanced one for very technical profiles such as ML engineers, making specialization still necessary), in the years to come, the most influential professionals will be those excelling at applying the most common AI frameworks – and, by extension, those of science in general – to the everyday business language.
